Unlike the other empires, the Northern Union does not have a road network for each level of government (international, national, territorial, district). Instead, it has international, national, and city roads.
All of the Northern Union's major roads (international & national) are east-west roads. Because of this, there is no need for odd/even division. Instead, all of these roads are numbered with almost complete randomness. The city roads are named to a number system: 1st, 2nd, 3rd, etc. In this case, odd numbers are east-west, and even are north-south.
The Northern Union's international roads are called NURs (Nothern Union Road(s)). Its national roads are called NUCRs (Northern Union Country Road(s)). There are no territory or district roads. However, there are city roads with no special code name.
